Edgar Orlando Oviedo-Rondon - Technical Director of the Broiler Room

Dr. Edgar O. Oviedo Rondón is a veterinarian from the University of Tolima in Colombia, and obtained his Master's degree in Animal Nutrition and Production at the State University of Maringá in Brazil, and PhD. in Poultry Science at the University of Arkansas. In addition, in 2018 he earned a Master in Business Administration at North Carolina State University, specializing in Supply Chain Management and Decision Making.

For this reason, Oviedo has extensive experience in the poultry industry as a veterinarian, nutritionist, extension agent and international consultant.

In fact, the expert has been invited to more than 30 countries as a speaker and is the author of more than 100 scientific articles published in different important industry media.

For all these reasons, Dr. Oviedo is an ideal candidate to provide an excellent broiler technical program to the attendees of LPN 2023.

José Eduardo Dos Santos - Technical Director of the Posture Room

José Eduardo Dos Santos is a graduate in management and development of UniFtec projects. The expert is a technician in Administration and Information Technology, especially focused on the production and laying market, and Technical Director of Egg Production, rearing/layer rearing.

Currently, Dos Santos is involved in different organizations focused on the Brazilian and international laying market:

  • Board Member of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association.
  • Member of the Board of Directors of Agroindústria Fiergs
  • Board Member of Fundesa RS
  • Coordinator of the Egg Production Altrnative Systems Certification Program.
  • Official delegate of the International Egg Commission and World Egg Industry and Production Organisation.

In this way, Dos Santos is the ideal candidate to expose the new challenges and innovations that are currently accompanying the start-up market.

Eduardo Cervantes - Technical Director of the Processing Workshop

Eduardo Cervantes is an industrial engineer from Universidad del Norte in Colombia, with more than 44 years of experience in poultry processing and related areas. For the past 23 years, he has focused his career on consulting to improve productivity in terms of quality, yield and costs. To a large extent, the expert focuses on micro-management to reduce integral waste with innovation.

In addition, Cervantes has authored numerous industry-leading scientific publications on poultry processing.

Además, es Doctor en Nutrición Animal por la Universidad de Iowa – EE.UU y Consultor Internacional.
