› Dra. Sherryll Layton



Dr. Layton will speak about the “Evolution of biotechnology: the future of vaccine design” that will take place on October 24th at 12:00 a.m. at the Meat, Breeders and Incubations Hall.

Doctorate by the University of Arkansas in Aviculture, with special emphasis on Molecular Biology, Mucosal Immunity, Host-Pathogen Interaction.

In July 1995, she began her career in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the University, later she worked as a biologist at the National Center for Toxicological Research. Currently, Dr. Layton is the Biotechnology and Scientific Director of Vetanco S.A.

In addition, she is part of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the Poultry Science Association (PSA) and the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemist (SETAC).

In 2007 she won several awards, including the South Central Branch Society of Microbiology for the best presentation.
