Dr. Villarreal will be in charge of the lecture “Common and costly health challenges for the Latin American egg production industry: potential control approaches“. The presentation will take place in the Laying and Rearing Hall on October 25th at 10:30 a.m.
Degree in Veterinary Medicine for the University of La Salle (1999). Master and Doctorate in Avian Pathology from the University of São Paulo (2003 and 2007). After directing Poultry Farming in Latin America, she is the Director of the poultry business unit of MSD Animal Health Brasil since April 2006. The Merck Group’s veterinary company specializing in therapeutic and immunobiological products in all fields of Medicine Veterinary.
Among its research areas include the avian infectious bronchitis virus, avian pneumovirus, respiratory diseases in poultry, among others. Dra. Laura Villarreal is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Poultry Council, Member of the technical team of the Global Poultry Team of MSD Animal Health and Member of the Coronavirus Research Group of the University of São Paulo.
