Jerry Garrison will be in charge of opening the event during the Incubation & breeders Workshop sponsored by Jamesway with the presentation "Hatcheries 101" on October 23rd at 8:30 am.

He has worked in the Poultry Industry for 40 years. Jerry is currently employed with Jamesway Incubator Company. Dr. Garrison joined Jamesway on December 12th, 1996. As a Senior Consultant, he works on-site providing consultation on hatchery management programs and proper operation of Jamesway Incubation equipment, as well as conducting training seminars on all the incubation phases worldwide. Dr. Garrison graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Poultry Science in 1974. He served as Assistant Hatchery Manager at Purnell’s Pride Inc. in Tupelo, Mississippi for five years before his promotion to Hatchery Manager. After the 1981 purchase of Purnell’s Pride by Marshall Durbin Farms, Jerry Garrison remained as Hatchery Manager until 1992 when the hatchery was temporarily closed. Then, he worked as Feed Mill Manager for one year and with Breeder - Broiler Services for two years before resuming the position again as Hatchery Manager at Marshall Durbin. In 1995 Dr. Garrison worked with Golden Poultry (Gold Kist) in Russellville, Alabama for one year as Broiler Flock Supervisor before assuming his position with Jamesway.
