Dr. Krabbe will be in charge of the lecture titled “Effect of particle size on the performance of pigs and poultry” that will take place on October 24th at 4:15 p.m. in the Monogastric Nutrition and Feeding Hall.
Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Master and Doctor in Zootechnics – Nutrition of Non-Ruminants by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
He worked as a technical and commercial manager in companies that manufacture additives for animal nutrition for 12 years in Brazil and Latin America. He is currently a researcher of Embrapa Suínos e Aves in the area of Production and Nutrition of Poultry and Swine since April 2011.
His main research areas are the use of applied biotechnology for animal production and nutrition; evaluation of the efficiency of additives in animal production and its stability during the processing and storage of food; monitoring and control of oxidation in raw materials and food; monitoring and prevention of mycotoxins in raw materials and food; grain storage technology; food processing technologies and technologies for processing animal carcasses.
