Dr. López Coello will be in charge of the inauguration of the LPN at the Nutrition & Feeding Workshop sponsored by Tectron on October 23rd at 8:30 a.m. with the presentation “The effect of ingredients on intestinal health“.
Dr. Carlos López Coello, performed postgraduate studies at the University of California, Davis and the National Autonomous University of Mexico; for 40 years he has been a professor at FMVZ-UNAM, teaching at the postgraduate level the following subjects: Feeding birds and nutritional diseases of birds, as well as poultry production and selected topics in poultry production. He has directed 46 bachelor’s, 31 master’s and 10 doctoral theses; He has 37 papers published in refereed journals, 286 in-extenso papers, and 103 abstracts. He has spoken in 378 presentations in 26 countries and is a co-author of the book Nutritional diseases of birds, 6 manuals and 13 chapters in books.
He belongs to the National System of Researchers (National Council of Science and Technology – CONACYT) Level II. He was president of the National Association of Poultry Science Specialists, is currently the president and the Mexican branch of the World’s Poultry Science Association. He was the Manager of the Animal’s Production Department of the Mexican Vet Academy A.C. and is a member of the Latin American Poultry Hall of Fame. His scientific work has been recognized by seven national awards. He was a Consultant for the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Member of the Academic Committee of Biological Sciences and Health of the UNAM, Member of the Academic Council of the FMVZ, UNAM, Coordinator of Research in the FMVZ, UNAM. He received the Dedication of the ANECA and AMENA Conventions.
