› Dr. Antonio Hernandiz

On October 24th at 5 p.m., Dr. Hernandiz will talk about the “Current and future challenges for the egg industry: European experience” in the Laying and Rearing Hall.

Dr. Hernandiz is graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2001 from the University of Zaragoza, and received his doctorate in Health Sciences from the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, where after obtaining a scholarship in a regional government science institute, he joined a team of researchers who studied Salmonella, directed by Dr. Santiago Vega García and Dr. Manuel Láinez Andrés. In 2001 he started as a Poultry Veterinarian in Agustí Roig S.A., an eggs company, where he collaborated with the production department. In 2002 he joined Grupo Cantos Blancos team, coordinating the egg production area.

In 2007 he joined the Huevos Guillén Group as Assistant Director of Production, where for 7 years he acquired different responsibilities such as:
Coordination of the annual production planning of the company, the coordination of the health and prophylactic planning, including the political biosecurity of breeding and putting of farms, the coordination of the planning of the management of the company, control of cages and climate, lighting program and egg collection and the coordination of the company’s food planning.

Currently and since 2014 he is Animal Health Manager in Grupo Huevos Guillén. He also combines his work with teaching at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, where he teaches Preventive Veterinary Medicine in poultry, among others.
